Job Summary
Directs and supervises a team of Family Case Managers providing protective services to children and families in Jennings County, Indiana. Ensures adherence to federal, state, and judicial guidelines; assigns and monitors work, maintains equitable caseload distribution, trains staff on new programs and developments, manages workflow, and coordinates with court systems. Responsibilities include risk assessment, staff supervision, travel management, policy communication, staff development, performance appraisals, and recruitment. Residency in the service area is preferred; travel is reimbursed. This exempt, full-time role supports the department’s mission to protect children and strengthen families, with a focus on maintaining safe, positive family units and engaging with external partners as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in human services (or relevant course study), 1+ years of human services or relevant experience, and 1+ years of leadership/supervisory experience
- An Associate’s degree in human services (or relevant course study), 3+ years of human services or relevant experience, and 1+ years of leadership/supervisory experience
- 5+ years of human services or relevant experience and 1+ year of leadership/supervisory capacity
- Related certifications and coursework may be considered for education or experience
