Job Summary
Manage and coordinate OPO organ and tissue authorization activities by supervising family care staff, ensuring adherence to policies, and guiding on-call authorization processes. Provide on-call administrative support for family conversations, including necessary on-site responses, while monitoring staff performance and driving quality training to increase authorization rates. Collaborate with Clinical and Hospital Services on meetings and case reviews, implement leadership principles for recruitment and coaching, and represent the organization on internal and external committees regarding policy and practice changes.
Required Qualifications
- BA degree in related field
- 3+ years of OPO experience in authorization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Must have their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by their potential start date or be able to supply proof of vaccination
- Must be able to provide on-site response for family conversations when necessary
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be available for on-call duties
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
