Job Summary
Family Assistant & Household Manager needed to support an active family in Aledo, TX. Role focuses on household management (60-70%), meal prep (15-20%), transportation & logistics (15-20%), and vendor & admin (10-15%). Key duties include providing transportation for an 8th grader, supervising outings, preparing school snacks and lunches, managing errands and appointments, maintaining household organization, coordinating with cleaners/contractors, meal planning and prep, grocery shopping, laundry, and pet care for two dogs and a cat. The position requires a valid driver's license and clean driving record, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to become certified), up-to-date vaccinations, comfort with pets, and a background check. Schedule is full-time 30-35 hours per week with weekday afternoon hours; compensation is $28-33/hour. Start date late July/early August. Emphasizes proactive communication, reliability, and the ability to anticipate needs and reduce the family's mental and logistical load.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and a clean driving record
- CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to become certified)
- Vaccinations up to date per American Academy of Pediatrics and CDC guidelines (including Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis A/B, COVID-19, and annual influenza) subject to applicable legal accommodations
- Comfortable working in a home with dogs and cats
- Background check required
- Ability to plan and prep 2-3 healthy dinners per week
- Proactive, organized, reliable, communicative, and able to manage household logistics
- Willingness to coordinate with vendors and cleaners/contractors
