Job Summary
Develop and maintain professional partnerships with administrative and teaching staff at assigned sites to evaluate needs and provide support in meeting Head Start and PFA/PI requirements. Build trusting relationships with families through monthly contacts, home visits, assessments, goal setting, and advocacy for services and referrals. Provide ongoing direct support by implementing parent engagement curriculum, promoting literacy access, and ensuring full enrollment through recruitment and timely vacancy filling. Conduct regular site visits for drop-offs, screenings, playdates, and acceptance meetings while collaborating with teachers to address developmental concerns and support IEP/IFSP processes. Maintain accurate records in ChildPlus and binders, coordinate parent committee activities, and submit all required paperwork and community resource updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field
- Associate's degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field, plus a minimum of 1 year of experience in social services or early childhood education
- Degree in another field plus a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in social services or early childhood education
- No degree plus a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in social services or early childhood education
- Family specialist credential
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable vehicle
- Bilingual ability (English/Spanish)
- Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including Microsoft Teams
