Job Summary

Develop and administer Early Childhood Services and Community Partnership Services for enrolled families while monitoring program staff to ensure quality, integrated systems, and compliance with Head Start Act and California Department of Education standards. Analyze family engagement services, needs assessments, and partnership agreements to establish memorandums of understanding with community agencies. Coordinate program events, volunteer activities, and school readiness plans in collaboration with education staff and Family Service Workers. Supervise 5-8 Family Service Workers by directing work, conducting interviews, and addressing performance issues. Requires 1-2 years of social work experience, a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, and extensive travel capability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services or related field from a four-year university
  • 1-2 years of social work, or community-based program experience
  • Valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance or reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel extensively (> 50% of the time)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Spanish / English bilingual
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Maintains patient privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities
  • Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities
  • Sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Punctual and dependable attendance
  • Must have basic knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel and E-mail
