Job Summary
Family Advocate at Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) provides program case management services to children and families across Oregon, including health, social services, literacy, and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards. Responsibilities include enrollment procedures, home visits, health screenings, connecting families to community resources, coordinating with staff to implement the plan, supporting parent involvement activities, maintaining records, and advocating for children and families while upholding confidentiality and safety standards. Requires working with Head Start program requirements, delivering coordinated services, and completing required certifications within 12 months of hire. Pay ranges from $18.94 to $23.65 per hour, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, retirement, PTO, and more.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- A credential, certificate or degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling or related field. OR 1 year of work experience in a health and/or social services field or in a position that combines administrative and customer support duties AND Must complete OCDC’s Family Advocate Certificate Level 1 within 12 months of hire. OR 2 years of work experience in an environment working with children and/or families AND Must complete OCDC’s Family Advocate Certificate Level 1 within 12 months of hire.
