Job Summary
Provide front-desk and customer service support at the Family Resource Center as the first point of contact for patrons, including greeting visitors, answering calls, directing patrons to staff, completing brief needs assessments, assisting with online applications or resource connections, and supporting data entry and resource displays. Duties include maintaining organized shared spaces, coordinating meeting-room setups with community partners, handling messages, and offering trauma-informed, confidential support to individuals and families. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and one year of office experience; a valid driver’s license is required. Part-time role based in Gainesville, FL with on-site duties at the Family Resource Center and related locations. Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and the ability to work as part of a team and respond empathetically to diverse populations; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred. Supervisory reporting to the Resource Center Manager and adherence to Center policies and procedures are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational facility
- One year of office experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (preferred)
- Experience working with at-risk children and families or a social service agency (preferred)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
