Job Summary
Implement Safety Services and Support Plans for families in crisis referred by the Department of Children and Families. Provide direct support and assistance to parents and children in homes or community-based settings, including immediate family engagement, 24/7 crisis response, and hands-on assistance to manage danger threats. Deliver intensive case management, skills training, and ongoing resource support such as food, housing, clothing, medical care, and transportation to appointments. This field-based position operates throughout Volusia County with a flexible schedule outside standard 9-5 hours. Candidates must have one year of experience with at-risk children and families, a valid driver's license, and must pass pre-employment medical screenings and a Level 2 background check.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years working with at-risk children and families, child welfare, case management, social work, direct support, or related
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license
- At least 21 years of age or older
- Ability to complete a 3-day new hire orientation class via MSTeams
- Flexibility to train and/or provide coverage if needed at other Family Builders work locations such as in Deland, Daytona Beach or Palatka, FL
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test
- Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida
