Job Summary

Family Advocate role focused on supporting families by providing individualized services, coordinating resources, and promoting engagement in CPCD programs. Emphasizes strengthening family outcomes through meaningful relationships, collaborative planning, and connection to community resources, with a focus on 2Gen career pathway opportunities. Start date July 27 with 40 hours per week (August–May) and a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, holidays, health/dental/vision coverage, retirement options, tuition assistance, and wellness programs. Requires completion of pre-employment screenings (physical, TB, drug test, background), reliable transportation, and ongoing credentialing (Family Development Credential) as applicable; Local office located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 36 semester hours of college credits and experience working with families, community resources and people in crisis situations
  • Completion of Family Development Credential (FDC) OR Associate Degree in a related field if required by Step
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other computer software
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test (including marijuana), and background check
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and maintain minimum liability insurance if using a personal vehicle
  • Willingness to complete further credentialing (FDC) within 18 months of hire for candidates without FDC
  • Two noted certifications or credentials related to family services or social work may be preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field may advance Step pay
  • Ability to coordinate resources and engage families in CPCD programs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with crisis situations and supporting families through services
