Family Advocacy Treatment Manager (FATM)

Job Summary
Assess families referred for suspected maltreatment and conduct psychosocial assessments to ensure ongoing safety. Provide voluntary prevention counseling to individuals, families, or groups at risk for maltreatment, coordinating services through social casework, psychotherapy, and psycho-educational interventions. Act as the primary treatment provider for assigned cases, monitoring client progress while promoting community initiatives to reduce risk factors and foster resiliency. Collaborate with prevention staff to recommend educational services and implement social marketing strategies to increase awareness. Requires U.S. citizenship, an LCSW or LMFT license, two years of post-master's experience working with abusive or abused populations, and a willingness to comply with government vaccination requirements. Located at Elmendorf, Alaska.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Master's degree from a CSWE accredited school
- Master's degree from a Marriage and Family Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE)
- qualifying degree in an allied mental health field from a regionally accredited education institution in conjunction with a program of Marriage and Family Therapy study that is equivalent to the COAMFTE standards
- U.S. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- U.S. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Two (2) years of full-time post-master's degree experience (within the last three (3) years) in professional clinical counseling service programs to men, women, and children who are abusive or abused
- Two (2) years' experience working with children, families, and groups in clinical or community organization settings
- demonstrated responsibilities in program planning with the implementation of education and intervention services
- community collaboration
- experience working with professionals and agencies that provide community support and counseling intervention services to children and families
- experience as a group therapy facilitator or co-leader
- Willingness to comply with the government vaccination requirements, reflected of CDC guidelines, for diseases including Hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, influenza, and proof of a negative TB skin test
