Job Summary

As a Families Together Practitioner in Griffith, you will deliver relationship-based, trauma-informed interventions to improve safety, stability and wellbeing for children by providing holistic case management across moderate to intensive levels. You will partner with families to strengthen parent–child relationships, build parenting capacity, and address complex psychosocial challenges such as domestic violence, substance misuse, mental health concerns, and intergenerational trauma. You will work with families where children are at risk of harm or in out-of-home care with a focus on safe restoration to parental care. This role requires a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, or a related field and a minimum of 3+ years’ experience delivering case management using strengths-based and trauma-informed frameworks. You will also need knowledge of mandatory reporter obligations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong administrative capabilities to document client interactions and manage case plans. Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, or a related field
  • Minimum 3+ years’ demonstrated experience delivering case management services using strengths-based and trauma-informed practice frameworks
  • Experience delivering casework within Community Services, Child Protection, Health, Domestic Violence, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Housing, Education, or a related sector
  • Knowledge of best practice and evidence-based approaches in working with people who have experienced trauma, including building parenting capacity, reducing the risk of child abuse and neglect, and supporting child and youth development, mental health, and responses to domestic violence
  • Understanding of Mandatory Reporter obligations
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in reflective practice
  • Strong administrative and technical skills, including documenting client interactions and proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems
  • Alignment with values of partnership, leadership and social justice
