Fall Youth Development Professional (After School) - TK & Kinder

Youth Development Professional – TK and Kinder role at McKinley Elementary School delivers after-school, play-based learning to support early literacy, language development, and social-emotional growth. Responsibilities include supervising young children, leading engaging activities, adapting lessons to individual needs, maintaining a safe, structured environment, building positive relationships, coordinating transitions and meals/rest periods, and collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive program. Requires CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days), strong communication, patience, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, school-based setting during the academic year. The role is part-time and on-site, aligned with the school calendar, with potential summer opportunities based on program needs. Educational requirements include a high school diploma with 48 college units or an associate/bachelor’s parity, or passing the district paraprofessional exam. Bilingual abilities and familiarity with trauma-informed approaches are preferred.
