Job Summary
Facilitate safe and motivating aquatic instruction for all participants in a fun and positive environment, focusing on socialization, participation, and interaction. Provide daily diagnostic imaging coverage including front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke, and butterfly skills. Requires current Lifeguard certification and YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent. Must be 16 years of age. Offers $18-$22/hour starting wage with free YMCA membership.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age
- Strong swim skills
- Basic knowledge of front crawl
- Basic knowledge of back crawl
- Basic knowledge of breaststroke
- Basic knowledge of sidestroke
- Basic knowledge of elementary backstroke
- Basic knowledge of butterfly
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of all swim strokes: front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke and butterfly (is preferred)
- Current Lifeguard certification
- YMCA Swim Instructor certification
- Equivalent certification
