Job Summary
Prepare, cook, and package meals for the farmstand, café, and meal programs while processing freshly harvested produce for immediate use or storage. Follow recipes to create a wide variety of foods, assist with menu planning, and maintain inventory of prepared foods and ingredients. Support the Kitchen Team by taking direction on production schedules, preserving produce through pickling and canning, and ensuring a clean, organized workspace that adheres to food safety protocols. Work 20-40 hours per week through December in a fast-paced, farm-based kitchen environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work both independently and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to follow recipes and directions with attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and ability to stay on task in a busy kitchen setting
- Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when needed
- Receptive to constructive feedback and able to adapt to changing tasks and priorities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for the duration of a shift
