Job Summary
Accompany reporters on assignments, conduct field interviews, and run teleprompters or studio cameras for live newscasts. Take part in daily news meetings, research stories, write scripts, organize graphics, and edit video. Assist with beat calls and other duties as assigned. Summer, fall, and spring shifts run weekdays from 9:30am to 6pm, with two to five days per week. No on-air capacity work is permitted. Applicants must have completed at least one year of college, hold a valid Pennsylvania driver's license, and pass background checks and drug testing.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed at least one year of college
- Established residency in Pennsylvania
- Valid PA Driver's License and good driving record
- Interns are required to successfully complete a background check and drug testing prior to beginning any internship with BRC13
Desired Qualifications
- Broadcast Journalism or equivalent communications majors preferred
