Job Summary
Compile and review financial metrics to support operational reviews and perform analysis on large data sets for business decision-making. Provide account reconciliation support for month-end close and deliver supporting information to transacting teams. Contribute to continuous improvement projects and participate in special initiatives while rotating through various accounting professionals to gain hands-on experience with the accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing. This co-op role within CPKC's Network Services Center Finance & Accounting team in Winnipeg offers training and skill enhancement for students pursuing business education.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a recognized university program
- Preference for a background in Accounting or Finance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Excel and Visio
- Project work experience showcasing ability to work independently, and as part of a team, managing expectations, and prioritize work-based requirements
