FALL ASSISTANT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR/FIRST RESPONDER - J.H. KNOX INTERMEDIATE

Assistant Athletic Director supports the Athletic Director in operating the school's athletic programs, helps cover home events, oversees facilities, ensures safety, assists with coaching eligibility, and communicates with community, schools, and parents via ParentSquare and social media. The role includes coordinating and supervising gates and crowd control, ensuring coaching certifications and NCHSAA/RSS requirements are met, maintaining facilities, and attending to duties assigned by the Athletic Director and Principal. Must maintain CPR/First Aid certifications, NFHS training, concussion management, ongoing injury-prevention CE, and complete 10 hours of staff development each school year. The position requires being on call for emergencies, attending football practices and games unless excused, and maintaining accurate injury records. External requirement: North Carolina Athletic Training licensure or First Responder certifications may be provided for annual verification.
