Job Summary
Conduct client interviews and out-of-court advocacy to resolve housing instability and address eviction risks. Perform objective legal research and writing for complex affirmative litigation in New York state and federal courts. Draft pleadings and substantive motions while observing court appearances, settlement negotiations, and oral arguments in Bronx Housing Court. Assist the Bronx team in organizing tenants and aggregating claims for non-Right-to-Counsel housing-litigation practice. This unpaid internship grounds students in substantive housing law and procedure, pairing them with an experienced attorney for advocacy calls and case management.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current law student
