Job Summary
Conduct structured orientation shifts with a dedicated preceptor while completing cohort-based classroom learning. Deliver direct and indirect total nursing care for assigned patients under the supervision of assigned personnel. Interpret hospital policies and procedures to guide patient care delivery. Maintain ACLS or PALS certification to demonstrate competence in basic life support skills. Apply management and supervisory skills to oversee assigned personnel across the ICU environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's in Nursing or Bachelor's in Nursing
- One year of Nursing/Patient Care in an acute care setting
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
- Compact State Licensure in Nursing
- BLS certification
- ACLS or PALS certification
