Job Summary
Fall 2026 Legal Intern supports the State Supreme Court Initiative by conducting research and drafting memoranda, motions, and portions of briefs related to state supreme court litigation; tracks cases and issues; collaborates with affiliates and partners; emphasizes equity, inclusion, and belonging in program development and policy; requires enrollment at a U.S. law school and base in the U.S. for the internship, with remote or hybrid work options in NYC or DC; offered as course-credit only with a part-time time commitment (10, 15, or 20 hours/week) for 12 weeks; strong research, legal writing, communication, and IT skills (Westlaw, PACER, MS Office) are desired.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a currently enrolled student at a U.S. law school
- Must be based in the United States for the duration of the internship
- Strong research skills (internet searches, Westlaw, PACER)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail, organization, time management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
