FALL 2026: LEAD COACH - FLAG FOOTBALL (SAN DIEGO)

Job Summary
Conduct daily flag football practices for groups ranging from 10 to 50+ kids, running drills using provided curriculum and resources. Lead pre-game and post-game huddles to emphasize sportsmanship and mindfulness while managing field setup and cleanup weekly. Serve as the direct contact for kids and families to ensure a safe, fun experience, providing guidance to volunteers and reporting any issues to the site lead. Manage on-field engagement by moving consistently between drills to prevent downtime and coordinate volunteer support. Report to site lead for player, parent, referee, and coach matters. Available for Tuesdays 2-4 PM in Mira Mesa from September 22 through October 27, with additional opportunities in Sherman Heights, Oak Park, Logan Heights, and Linda Vista.
Required Qualifications
- Available to coach in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego on Tuesdays from 2-4 PM from September 22-Oct 27
- Opportunities available in other parts of town for more hours, specifically Wednesdays in Sherman Heights from 12:45-2:45 PM (soccer)
- Opportunities available on Thursdays in Oak Park from 12:45-2:45 (basketball)
- Opportunities available on Thursdays in Logan Heights from 3:30-5:30 (soccer)
- Opportunities available on Fridays in Linda Vista from 3-5 (soccer)
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States for Volo, or will need sponsorship
- Have a reliable method of transportation
- Have coached youth football
