Job Summary
Conduct literature reviews, support data analysis and visualization, and transcribe interviews for the Designed for Dignity statewide culture change project. Assist with agency assessments, policy reviews, and the development of training materials while providing technical support for virtual and in-person meetings. Contribute to writing, editing, and design of reports, newsletters, and presentations for state corrections departments. This internship supports Restoring Promise's strategic plan to transform prison culture and conditions through technical assistance and research. Candidates will gain hands-on experience in project management and partnership-building within Vera's Brooklyn, NY office.
Required Qualifications
- Previous personal or professional experience or exposure to the criminal legal system or corrections
- Microsoft office and Zoom
- Communication skills for emailing, notetaking, and internal team memos
- Location: Brooklyn, NY office (hybrid schedule, 10 days per month)
Desired Qualifications
- Lived experience as a person directly impacted by the criminal legal system
- Interest in Criminal Legal Reform, Correctional Services, Psychology, Social Work or other Human Services
