Job Summary
CBPP offers a Fall 2026 remote internship on its Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EIB) core team. The intern will support policy-related and organizational development work, including curriculum development and facilitation for the READ internship seminar, participation on the EIB Advisory Council, programmatic and logistical support across departments, planning affinity-group programming and heritage-month activities, managing the EIB Resource Database, and assisting with Catalyst, CBPP’s annual EIB community-building convening. The role emphasizes expanding staff capacity, implementing new policies and practices, and developing systems to track progress toward goals. Qualifications emphasize creativity, organization, communication, collaboration, and a demonstrated commitment to advancing equity and inclusion. Education is open to current undergraduate and graduate students (including law students) and recent graduates. International students are welcome to apply; visa sponsorship is not provided, and U.S. work authorization is required as of the start date. Internship start date: September 8, 2026; end date: December 18, 2026. Work hours: 30-40 per week during EST business hours; in DC-area interns on hybrid schedule. Compensation ranges by level from $18 to $22 per hour depending on degree status, with detailed hourly rates provided in the posting.
Required Qualifications

- Highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple tasks for different projects/supervisors (often on a time-sensitive basis).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing equity and inclusion.
- Strong facilitation skills.
- Background in participating in, leading, and/or organizing efforts to foster greater equity and inclusion for historically marginalized communities and/or identity groups.
- Ability to work effectively across cultural differences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
