Job Summary
Fall 2026 Communications Internship (Remote) with Cultural Survival. Remote, nonprofit, unpaid volunteer opportunity for 3 months at ~15 hours per week; stipend of $500 awarded. Core responsibilities include supporting the administration and production of key publications (quarterly magazine, monthly newsletters), creating and scheduling social media content, and assisting with website posts and reports. Practical duties include conducting research and interviews for articles, writing and editing materials, translating tasks as skills allow, organizing digital files and Mailchimp mailing lists, and coordinating with team members. Required skills include strong writing abilities, comfort coordinating interviews with stakeholders, and proficiency with digital tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, and Mailchimp; fluency in English is required, with Spanish and Indigenous language skills highly desirable. The intern will report to the Senior Communications Manager and can expect mentorship and a remote-friendly environment with flexible scheduling in EST hours. Training targets include content creation across platforms, understanding Indigenous issues, and collaboration within a globally distributed team.
