Job Summary

Fairview Park City Schools seeks a Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer to lead the district’s financial operations, ensure compliance with Ohio Revised Code and public school finance standards, provide transparent financial information to the Board, staff, and community, maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness, and align resources with instructional priorities and strategic planning. The successful candidate will advise the Board of Education and Superintendent, drive long-range fiscal planning, and uphold ethical leadership and fiscal accountability across district finances, reporting, and governance.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Ohio school finance, school law, public-sector accounting, and public records requirements.
  • Experience with fiscal forecasting, budgeting, appropriations, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting, debt, investments, and internal controls.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly, professionally, and accurately.
  • Demonstrated commitment to transparency, fiscal accountability, and ethical leadership.
  • Experience with audits, financial statements, five-year forecasts, and public school compliance requirements.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and support fiscal office staff.
  • Commitment to maintaining the district's strong financial practices and reputation.
  • Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to the Board of Education and Superintendent.
