Job Summary
Collect necessary information for initial client intakes, answer inquiries from renters and homeowners via phone, in-person, and email, and refer potential clients outside the organization's service offerings to other providers. Assist the housing counseling team by updating the intake process, preparing data for reports, and networking with service providers to strengthen referrals. Stay current on service offerings and external regulations, safeguard client security and confidentiality, and represent the organization at meetings and events. Participate in staff training and attend evening and weekend meetings as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and possess good analytical, problem solving, and writing skills with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate the ability to recruit and manage volunteers
- Must be organized, thorough, accurate and possess proficiency with computer and related needs
- Possess good teamwork skills and the ability to work with a diverse population
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to attend evening and weekend meeting as needed
- Criminal background check will be completed
