Job Summary
Failure Analysis Laboratory Manager to lead a material science and electronics failure analysis laboratory focused on component analysis, material identification, and failure trend analysis. Responsible for prioritizing requests, assigning investigations, mentoring staff, developing SOPs, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and reporting operational metrics. Requires leadership experience in a laboratory setting, strong written and verbal communication, and knowledge of lean/WCM practices and quality standards (ISO 9001/ISO 17025). Location: Pullman, WA. Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Science (four-year degree)
- Four or more years of combined leadership and supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English (writing and speaking)
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) in a laboratory environment
- Familiarity with electronic equipment design and/or manufacturing test practice (preferred)
- Experience developing or improving failure analysis methods, SOPs, and work control processes
