Job Summary
Analyze top failure modes of PCBs for each product and collaborate with departments to identify root causes and implement countermeasures. Work with Manufacturing Engineering and analysis technicians to feedback failure data into the Manufacturing Execution System, while partnering with Quality Assurance on troubleshooting field returns. Create Pareto charts to drive improvement activities, develop analysis tools for new products, and assist in training analysis technicians. Requires thorough understanding of electrical PCB test methods, expert knowledge of factory operations, and 5+ years of experience in failure and root cause analysis for electrical PCBs. Salary ranges from $45.58 to $60.77 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- thorough understanding of electrical PCB test methods (In-Circuit, Functional PCB, Embedded, System Level)
- expert understanding of factory operations (SMT, Quality Assurance, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with setting up analysis troubleshooting procedures, equipment and methods
- Familiar with defect and corrective action reporting (Pareto charts, yield reports, etc.)
- Familiar with the creation of fault tree analysis flowcharts and troubleshooting guides
- 5 + years of experience in designing, providing test solutions, or performing failure and root cause analysis for electrical PCBs
