Job Summary
Teach undergraduate and graduate coursework in finance, real estate, and other business courses while transferring knowledge of theory, practical skills, and techniques. Challenge student thinking, foster debate, and develop critical discourse abilities. Participate in general faculty roles including advising, committee service, and department governance. Exercise academic leadership in curriculum design and collaborate on program improvement and accreditation processes. Build relationships with Orange County employers to strengthen community links. Mentor students through advising and faculty interactions. Identify organizational risks and discuss reduction options with your supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- PhD/DBA in Finance
- M.Sc./MBA in economics/finance
- extensive teaching and finance industry experience
- Relevant industry certifications
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness in a variety of undergraduate courses
- strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts environment
- Interacting with students
- working collaboratively with faculty from other disciplines
- faculty and leadership with different backgrounds and points of view
- deep appreciation of and respect for academic values, and culture
- Demonstrated teaching ability at the undergraduate level
- Experience with hyflex and/or online delivery methods
- Proficiency or strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Canvas learning management system or equivalent LMS
