Job Summary
Clinical pediatric urology duties at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital and outpatient practice, with involvement in clinical and/or basic science research. Responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, participating in service activities for the department and medical school, and fostering an academic environment. The successful candidate will engage in research projects, collaborate or lead scholarly activities, and participate in faculty development aligned with career goals. The position is faculty-track as Assistant or Associate Professor on an academic track, with salary commensurate with experience and qualifications (base $450k–$650k, depending on effort). The role requires completion of ACGME Urology residency and Pediatric Urology fellowship, board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Urology, Minnesota licensure and DEA certification, and the ability to secure U.S. work authorization. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and to attracting students and residents to the field, along with strong communication skills and teamwork, are essential. Facilities include clinical duties at Masonic Children’s Hospital and an outpatient clinic, with opportunities to engage in national organizations and scholarly activity.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Urology residency
- Pediatric Urology fellowship training
- Board eligible/certified in Pediatric Urology
- Minnesota medical licensure or ability to obtain
- DEA certification in Minnesota
- Ability to obtain/maintain licensure and DEA
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to attract students and residents to pediatric urology
- Team-oriented and patient-service focused
