Faculty Physician, Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist

Job Summary
Provide in-house coverage and total management for obstetric patients, including labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies and postpartum care, within a physician-led team. Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. Work 24-hour shifts on a rotating schedule in a Birth Center with Level II NICU facilities nearby and access to Level III NICU in Grand Rapids. The role supports a specialized OB/GYN residency program, with residents and faculty involved. Requires board certification or eligibility with certification planned within five years, and an active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain). Proficiency with Epic EMR and MyChart, engagement in quality improvement, and participation in community health efforts are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology or board eligible with commitment to certification within five years
- Active Michigan medical license or ability to obtain
- Provide direct patient care in obstetrics and gynecology
- Documentation in Epic EMR
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Support community health efforts
