Job Summary
Join the University of Minnesota as a faculty physician in classical hematology, focusing on delivering expert clinical care for benign hematologic disorders. Lead and develop clinical trials while engaging in teaching and mentoring roles across medical education programs. Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellence in clinical care, teaching skills, and have a background in research productivity. Requires ACGME residency and hematology fellowship training, with board certification in Hematology and licensing in Minnesota. Relocation assistance is not offered.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care of patients with benign hematologic disorders
- Strong teaching skills and enthusiasm for academic medicine
- Evidence of research productivity or interest in developing academic focus (clinical, translational, or basic science)
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Hematology fellowship-training program
- Board eligible/certified in Hematology
- Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Specialized expertise in hemostasis/thrombosis
- Expertise in red cell disorders
- Experience with hemoglobinopathies
- Knowledge of gene therapy
- Familiarity with TTP
- Experience with complement disorders
- Clinical trial development
Additional Requirements
- Must meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges
- Must maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA
