Job Summary

Prepare and teach daytime, evening, and hybrid sections of general education and program courses, including Applied Algebra, Quantitative Reasoning, and Calculus sequences, while maintaining a minimum of five office hours weekly. Develop assessment methods aligned with learning outcomes, utilize results to drive continuous improvement in instruction and curriculum, and submit outcome assessment reports by required deadlines. Contribute to curriculum development, course material creation, and the maintenance of online learning management repositories. Engage in ongoing professional development, attend approved conferences, and create professional works or publications. Participate in departmental, divisional, and institutional committees, provide guidance to adjunct faculty, and serve as an ambassador for the college through community outreach and partnership activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in mathematics, or closely related field such as mathematical education, physics/engineering or statistics
  • Ph.D. in mathematics or related field
  • Foundational technology/software skills related to program needs
  • Ability to convey technology/software skills and methodologies to students
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Advising skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators
  • Strong instructional skills
  • Classroom management skills
  • Experience with online learning management systems
  • Experience with publisher-based learning content
