Faculty position (Full-time) in Maritime Logistics & SCM at SMA located in Sharjah, UAE. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating educationally effective teaching and assessment materials in Maritime Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Business, Research Methods, and Applied Research; teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate courses including dissertation and capstone projects; setting and marking coursework and examinations with timely, constructive feedback; providing pastoral support to students; delivering up to 2 credit hours of teaching per term and supervising postgraduate research; holding or committing to a higher education teaching qualification (e.g., FHEA); conducting personal research with plans for external funding applications; leading and contributing to SMA’s research themes (Maritime Logistics, Maritime Business, Sustainability, Technology); building industry collaborations and ensuring impact beyond academia; developing leadership in research and scholarly activity; contributing to organisational and administrative tasks and college strategies; requirements include a Doctorate and substantial track record in sea/academic leadership, with extensive publication and grant activity. English proficiency, collegiality, and ability to work under pressure are emphasized.
