Job Summary
Instruct lab and clinical nursing students by reinforcing didactic content within the context of clinical and lab application. Collaborate with faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward objectives, while grading written and performance check-offs. Maintain communication with program leadership through faculty meetings and stay current with nursing practice trends to ensure program accreditation compliance. Travel to student clinical sites to directly observe performance. Uphold holistic nursing tenets and university pillars of faith, learning, and work.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree (MSN)
- 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience
- An active, current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida or a compact state
Desired Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and preceptors
- Evidence of involvement in one's professional area (e.g. membership in professional organizations, presentations, research, and/or publications)
