Job Summary
Instruct and evaluate student performance in Mechatronics and Electrical courses while maintaining accurate written records of attendance and submissions. Coordinate and maintain laboratory activities, including supervising cleanup and ensuring compliance with safety, hazardous waste, and recycling policies. Requisition supplies, tools, and equipment as needed and participate in the school assessment process. Maintain communication with administrators and attend department meetings when requested. Hold office hours according to the part-time agreement. Requires an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related technical field, two years of work experience, and formal coursework in education. Part-time rate is $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for enrollment under seven.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Mechatronics Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or related discipline
- Two (2) years of related work experience
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
- Developed organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- Formal coursework in Education
- Teaching experience at the high school, trade, or college level
- Possession of a valid driver's license
