Job Summary
Adjunct instructors in Education teach courses across the College of Education Undergraduate program leading to South Carolina teaching certification in early childhood through secondary education (Biology, English, Math, Social Studies). Responsibilities include following a prepared syllabus and course objectives, meeting assigned classes and labs, maintaining office hours, completing FERPA training, ensuring available library/resources, fostering intellectual curiosity, following university regulations, keeping accurate grades and absences in CSU software, and supporting the University's Christian mission by integrating faith in learning, leadership, and service. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s plus 30 semester hours, leadership experience, diverse instructional strategies, and demonstrated success in K-12 settings.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education or a related field with 18 hours related to the teaching area
- 5 years of teaching experience in public schools
- K-12 licensure
