Job Summary

Conduct general cardiology clinical practice while leading independent investigator-initiated research in cardiovascular medicine. Manage NIH-funded projects, participate in clinical trials, and utilize large-scale EMR, genomic, and phenotypic datasets to advance translational studies. Mentor junior faculty and contribute to program-wide academic growth within a collaborative environment. Balance approximately 70% clinical care and 30% research, with flexibility to expand protected time as funding grows. Required Qualifications

  • Faculty Cardiovascular Researcher at the Associate Professor or Professor level
  • Mid-career clinician-scientist
  • Demonstrated research productivity
  • Active NIH (R-level) funding
  • Balance approximately 70% clinical care and 30% research
  • Focus on general cardiology
  • Independent investigator-initiated research within cardiovascular medicine
  • Participation in clinical trials, outcomes research, and translational studies
  • Access to large-scale EMR, genomic, and phenotypic population datasets
  • Opportunity to mentor junior faculty
  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • Board Certified/ Board Eligible in a Cardiology specialty
  • Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
  • U.S. ACGME Residency
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
  • Experience in conducting industry sponsored clinical research trials
