Job Summary
Provide 1:1 clinical supervision of residents and medical students, including significant involvement during rotations. Attend GMEC committees, conferences, and ad hoc activities as requested by the Chair or Program Director. Complete monthly resident evaluations within one week of rotation end, deliver minimum of two didactics annually, and participate in M&M conferences, journal clubs, and departmental simulations. Engage in research activities and semi-annual Clinical Competence Committee processes. This .10 FTE faculty member must obtain hospital privileges at a KUSM-Wichita affiliated hospital. Board certification in Anesthesiology is required, with fellowship training preferred.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO or foreign degree equivalent
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology (or actively pursuing such certification if less than 4 years from the end of residency)
- Demonstrated didactic and intra-operative teaching skills
- Knowledgeable of ACGME residency requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Fellowship training in an anesthesia sub-specialty
