Job Summary
The Anatomy Faculty role at Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine requires a commitment to excellence in educating future physicians. Responsibilities include teaching and curriculum development for OMS-I and OMS-II students, mentoring medical students, engaging in scholarly activities, and participating in departmental committees. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Anatomy or a related field, or an MD/DO, with at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a medical school. Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to organize scientific content are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Anatomy or a related field, or an MD/DO from an accredited institution
- At least two (2) years of teaching experience in higher education
- Experience teaching in a medical school for 2+ years
- Demonstrated experience with team-based learning (TBL)
- Experience with course directorship and grade submission
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching medical students
- Knowledge of test question validity metrics
- Experience writing NBOME/NBME-style exam items
- Experience with HoloAnatomy and InteDashboard applications
- Experience in curriculum mapping and assessment
- Experience working with accreditation standards
- Experience in advising students for board-preparation
- Experience using educational software and LMS
