Job Summary
Verify product and process compliance with contractual, technical, and AS9100 Quality Management System requirements. Generate and publish Cost of Poor Quality metrics, lead cross-functional teams in failure analysis and root cause investigations, and manage non-conforming material disposition through Material Review Boards. Develop and maintain inspection and work instructions while ensuring configuration management. Interface with Defense Contract Management Agency and conduct daily status meetings with factory management and hourly employees to manage issues and reduce poor quality costs. Meet weekly meetings to facilitate timely red rack disposition. This onsite role at Raytheon Dine' Facility in Farmington, NM, supports the aerospace and defense mission by assuring product quality and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- 2 years of prior engineering experience
- Manufacturing process experience in one of the following: (assembly, inspection, test)
- Experience reading/interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions, process disciplines and tool control
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams in auditing process and product/process improvements in the factory or at suppliers
- Experience with AS9145 - Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience in negotiating, having difficult conversations, and ability to work well with factory management, hourly employees, and internal stakeholders
- Data analysis; development and usage of actionable metrics
Desired Qualifications
- STEM preferred
- Experience using quality tools (e.g.Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping)
- Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspections
- Six Sigma or ASQ Certification
