Factory Operator (Food Processing)

Job Summary
Receive and inspect raw materials, then sort, wash, peel, slice, and prepare food products for processing. Operate dehydrators, smoking kilns, grinders, and milling machines safely while monitoring production for quality consistency. Weigh, package, label, and prepare finished products for storage and dispatch, ensuring customer orders are sorted accurately and on time. Perform routine equipment cleaning, report faults promptly, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices to maintain sanitation and minimize wastage. Record daily production quantities, monitor stock levels, and support inventory counts. Work Saturdays on a rotational basis and adhere to all workplace health and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE
- Physically fit and able to perform manual production tasks and stand for extended periods
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and teamwork skills
- Is hands-on and enjoys practical work
- Is comfortable working in a food processing environment
- Is dependable, proactive, and willing to learn
- Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Is committed to maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety
- Work Saturdays on a rotational basis (approximately one or two Saturdays per month)
