Job Summary
Lead factory operations by managing day-to-day production, packing, and dispatch activities while coaching Production Supervisors and operational leaders. Drive productivity, labor efficiency, and cost control through workforce planning, recruitment, and succession initiatives. Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, SQF, and WHS requirements while monitoring operational KPIs and implementing continuous improvement projects. Manage employee performance, conduct, and attendance matters to build a high-performing workplace culture. Report to the General Manager in this newly created leadership role supporting business expansion.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a Factory Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or similar leadership role
- Significant people leadership experience, including leading supervisors and large operational teams
- Experience managing performance, workforce planning and employee relations matters
- Strong knowledge of production environments and operational performance metrics
- Experience working within quality, food safety and WHS frameworks
- A passion for coaching, mentoring and developing teams
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage labor and operational costs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on achieving results
- Fresh food manufacturing experience
- Bakery manufacturing experience
- HACCP, GMP, SQF or Food Safety experience
- Leadership or management qualifications
- Trade qualification within a manufacturing environment
