Factory Automation Engineer

Job Summary
Lead and spearhead smart manufacturing initiatives by collaborating with internal teams (Operations, Process, Factory System, NPI, and Product Engineering) and external System Integrators to design, implement, and validate tooling automation projects supporting NPI and POR efforts. Oversee CAPEX procurement for tooling and automation, provide technical and quality leadership to mitigate project risks, develop project plans with cash-flow oversight, and drive continuous improvements with Industry 4.0 concepts to create a Smart Factory environment. Manage installation, integration, and validation of tooling within existing manufacturing systems, ensuring compliance with HP safety and industry standards. Maintain thorough project documentation, testing protocols, and reports; travel to partner and supplier sites as needed. Require a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology/manufacturing discipline, strong project-management and leadership skills, and ability to collaborate across geographies; PMI PMP certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technology or manufacturing-related engineering discipline or equivalent
- Knowledge in smart manufacturing, automation system and manufacturing processes fundamentals
- Willing to travel to Manufacturing Partner Sites, System Integrators, and supplier sites
