Job Summary
Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Engineer responsible for planning, preparing, and executing customer-witnessed type tests for medium/high testing complexity, including full documentation, in accordance with contract specifications and standards. Role emphasizes end-to-end testing accountability, technical support during installation and testing, collaboration with Project Management and Sales, leadership to guide test engineers, and ongoing process and risk management to ensure safe operations and quality. Onsite work in Quartino, Switzerland, with the role contributing to ABB Smart Power and Customer Projects Execution teams; requires strong electromechanical testing experience, UPS systems familiarity, Italian and English language skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing and validation of products within the electromechanical field
- Experience with UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems is considered a strong advantage
- Native Italian speaker with strong English (B1) communication skills
