Facility Welder-Fabricator

Job Summary
Complete a variety of welding, fabrication, and repair tasks to support plant operations at the precast concrete manufacturing facility. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, diagrams, and schematics while operating welding tools and facility equipment safely. Perform A-frame repairs, deck chamfer repairs, hard surfacing, weld plate modifications, and maintain welding equipment to keep the shop organized. Collaborate with maintenance, production, and leadership teams to troubleshoot issues and prioritize work for efficient plant operations. Available to work 10-12 hours/day Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays. This hands-on role requires a Registered Apprentice or Journeyman Welder with experience in fabrication, blueprints, and equipment repair.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation
- 3rd/4th Year Registered Apprentice Welder or Journeyman Welder
- Previous welding, fabrication, or related hands-on experience
- Ability to perform accurate welding and fabrication work in a fast-paced facility
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams and schematics
- Available to work 10-12 hours/day Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
- Physically able to perform demanding work for extended periods
- Comfortable working around active manufacturing equipment and production areas
- Able to work safely in a facility environment
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Successful interview candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment assessment
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
- CWB welding certification
- Experience with equipment repair or hard surfacing
