Job Summary
Conduct maintenance on curling ice, arena ice, swimming pools, and HVAC systems while adhering to provincial, federal, and company safety regulations. Select appropriate tools for repairs and record maintenance information on required forms. Perform tasks in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or other trades with a focus on occupational health and environmental standards. Maintain strong customer service skills and represent the organization professionally while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Complete a Police Information Check and hold current First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 Diploma or GED
- BC or Interprovincial certification as a Refrigeration Operator (RO)
- Minimum of three (3) years of broad-based experience in more than one of the following trades: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, plastering, painting, HVAC
- Thorough knowledge of company, local, provincial and/or federal regulations, policies/practices, code and legislation regarding occupational health, safety and environment
- Ability to select the appropriate tools and equipment required to perform all required maintenance tasks
- Possess skills in the following areas: curling ice, arena ice, swimming pool, and HVAC systems
- Knowledgeable in company quality acceptance standards and practices
- Ability to record and maintain required information on appropriate forms
- Strong customer focus with well-developed customer service skills
- Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to organize multiple priorities and to set and meet personal goals and deadlines

Desired Qualifications
- RSA or IFO qualifications will be considered if candidate commits to acquiring a Refrigeration Operator (RO) certification within 24 months
- Pool Operator Certificate – Level 1 and 2
