Facility Technician Shift I (D crew/PM Shift)

Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day maintenance and repairs of facility building equipment, including minor electrical and plumbing work, while adhering to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards. Troubleshoot irregular conditions on equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and complete various work orders assigned throughout the Perrysburg campus. Assist with office moves, signage installation, and other assignments as required. Maintain the building and grounds using applicable resources and equipment. This role involves working short distances for up to 12 hours per day, climbing stairs occasionally, and lifting up to 27 pounds frequently. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED with 2+ years in related maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. First Solar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years in related maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
- Skilled Electrical or Mechanical Trade experience
- 1+ years in a Manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of building electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with tools to accomplish repairs
- Ability to work with little supervision
- 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment

- Experience with commercial building utility power
- Experience with air compressors
- Experience with emergency generators
- Experience with plumbing
- Experience with fire detection and facility systems
- Mechanically inclined
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
