Facility Technician/Plumber - Primm Valley Casino Resorts

Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of resort facilities, equipment, and property, with a strong emphasis on plumbing systems. Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair domestic water, sewer, drainage, restroom fixtures, and related systems while addressing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing piping. Handle mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance issues, including painting, drywall repair, flooring, and structural work. Maintain accurate work orders, logs, and inventory records for supplies and tools. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations while adhering to OSHA standards and gaming regulations. Schedule includes evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Minimum of two (2) years of commercial, hotel, resort, industrial, or residential plumbing experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, water distribution, drainage systems, pipe fitting, leak detection, and plumbing repair techniques
- Experience using hand and power tools, including drills, saws, pipe cutters, threaders, drain cleaning equipment, grinders, and wrenches
- Working knowledge of general building maintenance and repair techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot plumbing and maintenance issues and perform repairs independently
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced resort environment
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- The ability to apply logical thinking to execute instructions and resolve problems
- Applicants must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift heavier items with assistance
- Ability to work at heights and safely operate maintenance equipment and power tools
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity are necessary to perform plumbing, maintenance, and repair tasks
- Ability to work in varying work conditions, such as confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous maintenance experience in a hotel, casino, resort, commercial, or industrial environment
- Journeyman Plumber certification, plumbing apprenticeship completion, or equivalent trade experience
- Forklift and pallet jack certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Basic computer skills for work order management and maintenance reporting
