Job Summary
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, water, electrical, plumbing, and lighting. Conduct routine inspections of building infrastructure and respond to work orders and emergency requests to minimize production downtime. Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs, document activities in maintenance systems, and ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards. Maintain facility grounds and support energy efficiency initiatives while working 8-12 hour shifts with potential overtime in a humid environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Basic computer skills for work order management and documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to crouch, stoop, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work anywhere from 8-12 hours per shift
- Ability to work overtime, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to work in a humid/hot work environment
- Ability to lift (up to 35lbs)
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or related field
- Experience with industrial utility systems, boilers, compressors, or refrigeration systems
- OSHA, HVAC, electrical, or maintenance certifications
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
